Terms of Service

By creating an Offbit account or joining the waitlist, you agree to the terms below. They're written to be readable — if anything is unclear, email team@off-bit.com.

The service

Offbit ("we", "us") provides a mobile application and supporting services that let you create private groups, track your screen time, compete on leaderboards, and participate in challenges. Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro"). We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Offbit. You're responsible for the email address and password you sign up with, and for the activity on your account. Don't share your account with anyone, and let us know immediately if you believe it's been compromised.

Acceptable use

Offbit is a social product. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users.
• Try to access another user's account or interfere with how the service runs.
• Reverse-engineer the app to bypass the screen-time tracking or the per-app limits.
• Use the service for any purpose that's illegal where you live.

If you do any of the above, we may suspend or close your account.

Screen-time data accuracy

Offbit displays screen-time data sourced from your device's operating system. That source may occasionally undercount or overcount. We make a reasonable effort to surface the data faithfully, but we don't guarantee it's perfectly accurate to the second.

Subscriptions and billing

Pricing

Pro subscriptions are billed through your device's app store (Apple App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android). Prices are shown in the app at the moment of purchase in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time from your app store's Subscriptions screen, or by tapping Manage Subscription from the Offbit upgrade screen. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for.

Refunds

Refunds for Pro subscriptions are handled by the app store that processed the payment. We can't issue refunds directly because we never receive your card details — they go through Apple or Google.

Notifications

Offbit sends push notifications when meaningful things happen in your group: a member drops out of a challenge, a new challenge is created, a winner is crowned. You can turn these off in your device's system settings.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, or by emailing team@off-bit.com. We can suspend or close your account if you violate these terms or if your activity poses a security risk to other users.

Disclaimers

Offbit is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't claim any specific outcome from using it. We are not a medical or mental-health service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we change these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect.
